ζ–‡A Document Translator

Same files back, in another language. Queue several and they run one after another in this tab. Fonts, paragraphs, bold, italic and underline stay. Pictures stay. Tags, formulas, keys and timestamps stay. Runs on this device in desktop Chrome 138+ or Edge 148+. Nothing is uploaded.

Or drop files on this card. They queue and translate in order.

Or paste text (HTML, Markdown, JSON, CSV, SRT, plain)

    FAQ

    Is the file uploaded?

No. Files open in this tab. Translation uses the on-device model in desktop Chrome or Edge, so the text does not go to pintnet or to a cloud translator.

    Which browsers work?

Desktop Chrome 138 or newer, and Edge 148 or newer, on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chromebook Plus. Firefox, Safari, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Arc, Chrome on phones, and every browser on iPhone or iPad cannot run the model. The page still opens there; Translate stays off.

Why is the first run slow?

The language pack downloads once, onto this computer. Later files in the same pair are just the translation time.

    Can I queue several files?

Yes. Pick or drop more than one. They translate one after another in this tab. Download each file, or download all as a zip.

    Do fonts stay the same?

Yes. The typeface name and size already in the file are left alone. This tab does not swap fonts and does not shrink slide text to fit. If a font is not installed on the computer that opens the file, the app (Word, PowerPoint) may still substitute it there. Embedded font files and pictures are copied through unchanged.

Does bold, italic and underline survive?

Yes. Each span keeps its own formatting. Adjacent splits that share the same style are joined so the translator sees a full phrase, then written back onto that style. Paragraphs stay paragraphs.

    What stays untranslated?

Formulas, numbers, dates, URLs, emails, JSON keys, code blocks, HTML tags, and subtitle timestamps. Excel still calculates. Text painted into a photo is not read.

    PDF or scans?

Not yet. Digital Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, Markdown, JSON, CSV, SRT and text. A scanned PDF is a picture: that is a different engine.

    Size limit?

20 MB per file. A very large file can still exhaust this tab’s memory: that is the device, not a paywall.
